Feeding one year old sweety Part III

Continue to read another way. Yes.I made her sit in the belted seat and even the sweetest food she denied nodding here head left and right. I switched on the TV.Kept it muted.Ofcourse kidz channel.I was holding  her right hand sitting next to her in a chair and was taking it up and down gently until she ate the full lunch.  Knowing not or do not know she really wanted to co-operate, she was acceding to the action and ate the full lunch.

But remember this is not an everyday trick. The next day itself this technique did not work.

Wait for the next blog for the next trick.

Feeding one year old sweety Part II

One thing I found in experience is that the child is able to swallow things that are easy to gulp. For instance any item that is grind like paste is liked most. The fruit and veggie paste is most liked. Not peas as it is tasteless.

The way In told in the earlier part is continued here with  some changes I noticed.Any doll kept on her head is a good play as you can feed a spoon easily in the time she tries to bring down the doll.Ofcourse the number of dolls depends on the number of spoons you are going to feed her.

Further any TV show where the screen keeps on moving to the next part is always a good show to feed your baby.

Feeding one year old

I am assigned the job of taking care of an one year child , of course my grandchild sweety for four months.I was bewildered seeing her video where she literally runs and wondered whether I will be able to run after her.The first fortnight experience is not anything fearful as I envisaged. It is all a happy time. She got acquainted with me the moment i cuddled her in my hands.Ok I will come to the feeding part, the most challenging for a mom or a nanny. But believe me. The tricks play a great role in it. What tricks? Her mother taught me.Give some toys one by one and when her attention is on it feed a spoon.  Ofcourse she opens her mouth knowing not what goes into her mouth. Do not mistake, that she is not responsive. No,the expressions of the face changes with the changes in the taste. She is tied to the strapped feeding chair and one should watch the vehement opposition when I try to place the tray in front of the chair. Some body language, words, shoutings, mimicry are things to be done to place the clip on the hand rest of the chair.  Why should it be kept there? Then only the toys can be placed one by one on it to divert her attention.

Yet another way I found by experience.Place the fur toys on her head and she will try to bring it down raising her hands and that is the time she will open her mouth for a spoon of the food. All the toys will be dropped on the left normally.Probably I wonder whether she will be a left hander. May be it is common with all children. Once they grow only we will know. Once the toy is drooped the sight goes down to the place where the toy falls. Normally a feed at this time is avoided by her. The nodding of the head from left to right expressing the unwillingness to accept a spoon of food  is all the more enjoyable.
